Wallenstam
Wallenstam has been using the Viu platform since 2019 and has always focused on human needs when managing and developing new homes and neighborhoods. Since using the platform, Wallenstam has noticed a significant improvement and development in their tenant communication and how the property portfolio has improved management quality and reduced administration.
Wallenstam is one of Sweden's largest private housing companies, with approximately 11,000 rental apartments in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Uppsala. For Wallenstam, it's about so much more than just managing and building housing. Being able to offer sustainable housing solutions that combine modern and digitalized solutions has long been a given for Wallenstam. In their new productions, the digital stairwell with connected mailboxes, the Vius platform with WallPads and WallTags and the housing app, are a living part of the vision.
" – We started with two of Vius WallPads in 2019 in two new productions in Gothenburg and Stockholm. Since then, we have noticed a strong demand to continue digitizing our stairwells and making information available to our tenants," says Annelie Brandt, technical system administrator at Wallenstam.
– With Vius WallPads, we avoid the manual handling of having to pick up notes in all our residential buildings, which saves us a lot of time. There will be much less administrative tasks for us, for example when moving in and out or in emergencies. In addition, our tenants will have a much nicer living environment with WallPad, says Annelie .
Wallenstam currently has over 200 WallPads in its housing portfolio in Stockholm and Gothenburg. With WallPad, Wallenstam can, for example, mirror their housing app and display the flow, housing register, public documents such as energy declarations and public transport departures, and reach out with quick information to all tenants in the building – including those who do not have a smartphone.
Trossö properties
Trossöfastigheter already has several digital products from Viu, including the stairwell sign WallPad and the digital name tag WallTag. Soon they contacted Viu again with another request – digital name tags that can be retrofitted to existing mailboxes. In collaboration with Trossöfastigheter, Viu first developed a prototype and after a test period, with several challenges and iterations, BoxTag is now on the market. A high-quality and innovative product in property digitalization.
" –We have been extremely satisfied with Vius' products, so it felt natural to ask them the question. With BoxTag, we can now handle all property administration digitally and streamline the work for our landlords. We avoid unnecessary travel and administration, and in this way also reduce our carbon footprint, " says Gustaf Samuelsson at Trossöfastigheter.
Handles all administration via ViuManager
Instead of replacing physical nameplates, BoxTag, like WallTags and WallPad, automatically retrieves tenant information from the property management system. The information can also be entered and scheduled remotely from the ViuManager platform.
The system is designed according to RealEstateCore, a standard for how different real estate systems communicate with each other.

Perfect for properties with limited indoor coverage
Vius products are battery-powered and connected through a mesh network, a well-proven technology.
The mesh network allows each device to communicate with the other devices, which means that the products are independent of WiFi.
The solution does not require running electrical cables or installing nodes on each floor – perfect for tall, well-insulated buildings with poor radio coverage. Exactly the challenge that Trossö Fastigheter was facing.
